## Creating a new Wallet
|

In order to create a new payment button you will need to have a wallet to receive funds to. You can can create one using the electrum wallet or Online paper wallet.

# Accessing Wallet with Electrum
|
||||
|
||||
To access your wallet with electrum do the following:
|
||||
|
||||
1. download electtrum
|
||||
2. Open and click restore
|
||||
3. Select "I already have a seed"
|
||||
|
||||
 4. Enter the seeds AND CLICK OPTIONS
|
||||
|
||||
 5. Select BIP39 Seed
|
||||
|
||||
 4. Cllick Next
|
||||
|
||||

1. Enter a password for your electrum wallet

2. Great success

||||

## **Add Derived XPUB to BTCP Pay.**

||||

Login to your BTCP Pay account and navigate to your Dashboard then click "Add Wallet"

Enter a Nickname for this wallet address and the Derived XPUB obtained from step 1.

||||

If you dont't want to create a new wallet and already have one with your Electrum wallet you can obtain the Xpub by clicking on wallet -> information.

and then copying the Xpub from there:

We strongly recommend creating a new wallet using the official BTCP paper wallet or the full node wallet.
|
||||

Important: You must store the information generated from your wallet offline, securely. Do not share your private keys with anyone. Do not store them in your email or computer. Keep them offline.

## **Create Wallet Using the Paper Wallet**

**PRO TIP:** Once the page loads, unplug your computer from the internet. Save the generated data in an encrypted USB drive or print it and keep it in a safe location. Then close the browser and connect back to the internet once all the information is saved in a safe place.

Then click on Wallet details, Reveal your new HD Wallet, and copy the master Xpub.
