From 102518fdb711b646dec8f0cc26fa170364bf2e0b Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Gregory Maxwell Date: Sun, 8 Sep 2013 04:54:06 -0700 Subject: [PATCH] Rename -tor to -onion to better reflect what it does. I've seen users confused multiple times thinking they should be using -tor to set their tor proxy and then finding in horror that they were still connecting to the IPv4 internet. Even Jeff guesses wrong about what the knob does, so I think we should rename it. This leaves the old knob working, we can pull it out completely in a later release. --- doc/tor.md | 6 +++--- src/init.cpp | 17 +++++++++++------ 2 files changed, 14 insertions(+), 9 deletions(-) diff --git a/doc/tor.md b/doc/tor.md index 86d56cffd..41ebed0c8 100644 --- a/doc/tor.md +++ b/doc/tor.md @@ -21,8 +21,8 @@ outgoing connections be anonimized, but more is possible. -proxy=ip:port Set the proxy server.
