calibrate fuel rail pressure sensor, confirm pressure is being build by low fuel pressure pump
confirm that HPFP valve is clicking using bench test button - some pumps need higher than default peak/hold current
confirm number of lobes on the cam which drives the pump
calibrate actuating cam angle, confirm by building pressure while rotating engine with starter
